Somatic Yoga Therapy

Somatic Yoga Therapy is an integration of classical yoga, contemporary mind-body-spirit psychology, mindfulness, and personalized practice. I will support you to become aware of experiences that have become embedded in the tissues of your body and to recognize and release the mental and emotional habits that may be blocking the flow of your vitality.   Implementing the ancient and sophisticated tools of yoga that focus on health and wellness on every level: physical, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual.  Somatic Yoga Therapy is a multi-layered healing journey that brings balance to the body and mind through the use of yoga postures, breath work, hand mudras, meditation practices including visualization, guided self-reflection and lifestyle awareness.

Yoga Nidra

What it Does
Yoga Nidra switches you out of fight or flight mode and into the relaxation response --- your body's natural healing state ---- where both revitalization and regeneration naturally occur.   Yoga Nidra peacefully gives you access to your deeper levels so that you feel a connection with your whole self.  The world slows down and you take a break from stressful, everyday concerns.  Limiting beliefs that hold you back from fully living, leading to freedom within your mind and body opening you up to living your fullest potential.  Yoga Nidra helps you catch up on lost sleep!  20 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equal to 3 hours of sleep!  This practice suspends your mind between being awake and asleep, which is a healing level of mind where you receive the ultimate power nap that goes well beyond normal sleep.

While resting in stillness, you are systemically guided through a visceral experience of the five layers of your being:

    4. The higher-mind - intuition and the witness consciousness
    5. The bliss body

Each layer is the doorway that opens into the next level. As we bring awareness to each individual layer, the coverings quickly dissolve, allowing us to exist simply as our true selves.  In this state of purity and authenticity, powerful, transformative healing can occur.
